Brother Spencer Becton is a 1981 graduate of Northeastern University, in Boston Mass., where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. In 1985, he received a Master’s in Public Administration, with a concentration in Budget and Public Finance from the George Washington University. He is a 1979 initiate of this fraternity's 22nd chapter, the Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

He has over 30 years of experience in the budgeting field for the Federal Government, and both jurisdictions of Washington, DC, and Prince George’s County, Maryland. He has served the fraternity since his initiation in 1979 at the undergraduate level, in a variety of local and Provincial (regional) capacities. In addition to being a Past Eastern Province and Eastern Province Rep as the CRWLC Chairman, in 1993, he was recognized as the Fraternity's "International Bert V. Wadkins Awardee" for his efforts on behalf of youth, during the 71st Grand Chapter Meeting of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. As the Hyattsville/Landover Alumni Chapter's Past Polemarch (or President), he spearheaded consecutive “International Chapter of the Year Awards” in both 1995 and 1997.

Currently Brother Spencer Becton resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
