Terrell A. Smith grew up in New York City (NYC). He attended the University of Maryland (UMD) in College Park, MD, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Following his graduation, as he began his career, Terrell obtained his Master of Science in Information Technology, specializing in Information Assurance, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College (now Global Campus). Terrell is an experienced Cybersecurity Professional, Program Manager, and Adjunct Professor with over 12 years of experience managing complex projects and initiatives directly supporting critical missions across multiple Government agencies as well as developing young professionals through academic teaching.


Terrell is both a proud Life Member of the Grand Chapter as well as of the Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where he has been an active member for 14 years. Terrell resides in the Upper Marlboro, MD area with his wife Krystal of 4 years.
